Vince Young would be good fit for several NFL teams

"he Titans say they are bidding farewell to quarterback Vince Young, but what happens next to the player selected third overall in the 2006 draft is anyone's guess.

Right now there are at least three big questions about Young, assuming the Titans are unable to trade him: what value will he have once released, where will he eventually sign and will he be starting next season?

With several teams expected to be in the hunt for a quarterback, there likely will be sufficient interest in a former starter who posted a 30-18 record as a starter with the Titans.

"I don't think there's any doubt from a football perspective that there would be interest," said ESPN's Tim Hasselbeck, a former NFL quarterback.

"In terms of bringing him in and saying unequivocally, 'You're our starter and you're not competing for this job,' I don't know if there would be a situation like that.

"But at minimum an opportunity to compete for a starting job would probably present itself."

One quarterback situation certain to get plenty of attention is in Minnesota, where Brett Favre seems to have actually called it a career. Backup Tarvaris Jackson is not under contract, and Joe Webb is not considered the Vikings' quarterback of the future.

The Vikings have a strong ground game, a good receiving corps and are reportedly interviewing Josh McDaniels for the offensive coordinator's job. He helped turn Matt Cassel into a productive rookie with the Patriots and sparked Kyle Orton to new heights with the Broncos."
