"He has drawn stick figures on a locker-room whiteboard that mocked NFL discipline.
He has fabricated subtitles on a Hitler-themed YouTube video that lampooned the lockout.
But Chris Kluwe's latest Internet attack takes a serious, finger-pointing tone.
Kluwe used Twitter to bash plaintiffs in the Brady v. NFL lawsuit who reportedly are pushing for compensation before settling the case, a power move that some speculate could delay the finalization of a new collective bargaining agreement.
Yahoo! Sports reported Tuesday that the agents of Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson and Patriots offensive lineman Logan Mankins have requested that their players become unrestricted free agents or be paid $10 million each as part of the settlement. Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, also plaintiffs, could ask for a removed franchise tag.
"Sigh, and once again greed is the operative byword," Kluwe posted under his handle, @chriswarcraft, on Tuesday. "Congrats Brees, Manning, Mankins, and Jackson for being 'that guy'. #douchebags."
Brees responded Tuesday night on his Twitter account, posting, "All media claims about me wanting a personal reward for this deal are false. I hope you all know me better than that"
When reached Tuesday, Kluwe said he thought carefully about his tweet and simply expressed his feelings on the issue."
