"Notre Dame tight end Kyle Rudolph, the Vikings second-round pick, spent most of the offseason training at his former high school in Cincinnati.
Rudolph, however, is expected to arrive in the Twin Cities on Monday so that he's in place and ready to go once the lockout ends. Rudolph, who found a place to live in the Twin Cities during a recent visit, said he will participate in Larry Fitzgerald's workouts on the Gophers campus this week.
"Once the lockout ends, it's going to be go, go, go," Rudolph said. "So I just want to get settled in and get some work in with Larry Fitz. I know Larry real well and he told me all they do up there."
Rudolph spent one week working out with quarterbacks Christian Ponder, Joe Webb and Rhett Bomar at IMG Academy in Florida this summer. Although the Vikings contingent was small, Rudolph said it was a worthwhile experience getting to know his new teammates."
