Ever since the organized team activities began last month, Michael Vick said he had no problem alternating first-team reps with Nick Foles in the competition for the Eagles’ starting quarterback job.

Vick gave a different answer Thursday, the last day of the OTAs.

“It’s tough,” Vick said about splitting reps. “I have to continue to be a professional and put my feelings and emotions to the side, and just continue to compete. But it’s hard. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t. But that’s just what I have to deal with, and I’m going to keep dealing with it until I see otherwise.”

Later, Vick told CSNPhilly that he would like head coach Chip Kelly to make a decision on the starting quarterback before the team reconvenes for training camp July 25.

“Hopefully … we won’t have to answer that question (anymore),” Vick said. “So we can go out there as quarterbacks and just focus on the season and not answer questions about competition every day.”

Vick said he hasn’t talked to Kelly about it, and he doesn’t plan to.
