But the selection of Gholston as the sixth overall pick in the 2008 draft is the recent standard.

Gholston's failure to become a competent starter as a pass-rushing outside linebacker has forced the team to go out and spend big money on free agents such as Calvin Pace to compensate for what Gholston has not done.
