In January, Vanderbilt announced that Stanford defensive coordinator Derek Mason had been hired as the Commodores’ new head coach. In mid-June, it was reported that Mason had added a former Cardinal to his new roster.

A month later, the pipeline from The Farm has officially produced not one but two players from Mason’s old stomping grounds.

In a press release, Vandy announced that tight end Davis Dudchock and wide receiver Chandler Dorrell have transferred into Mason’s football program. Both players will be eligible to play in 2014, Dudchock as a graduate transfer.

Dudchock played in 16 games for Stanford from 2010-2013, catching five passes for 43 yards. Dorrell, the son of Vandy offensive coordinator Karl Dorrell, took a redshirt as a true freshman in 2013.
