"The Rangers are officially turning the ninth inning into "Happy Hour." Or, as they would say in Spanish: "La Hora Feliz."

Manager Ron Washington said Sunday morning that Neftali Feliz would replace struggling Frank Francisco as the Rangers' closer for the time being. The intent, Washington said, is for Francisco to fix whatever flaw has limited his velocity and ruined his location.

"We need to give him some time to get things together," Washington said. "There is no way we can get through this year and do what we want to do without Frankie Francisco. Frankie will be the closer for the Texas Rangers."

In reality, though, the job is likely lost until Feliz proves he can't do it. "
