Tyler Cavanaugh will continue his college basketball career at George Washington University.

Cavanaugh sent a tweet about his decision on Thursday evening.

Cavanaugh will have to sit out a season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Tyler's father, John Cavanaugh, said earlier this month his son has heard from several schools, including Dayton, Butler, Colorado, Providence, Oregon and Baylor.

Cavanaugh, who helped Jamesville-DeWitt High School to three New York State Class A championships, spent the last two years at Wake Forest. He averaged 8.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game as a sophomore last season.
