The Green Bay Packers are unlikely to have running back Ty Montgomery for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. While McCarthy doesn’t view the looming absence as a longterm concern, Montgomery is still suffering from a rib injury that he suffered earlier in the season and has attempted to play through.

Last week, Montgomery tied his season-high with 54 rushing yards against the arch rival Chicago Bears despite carrying the football just six times. After rushing for touchdowns in each of the first two weeks of the season, he went without a score until his game against the Bears. Over the eight games in which he has appeared, he has carried the ball 71 times for 273 yards and three touchdowns. He has also added 23 receptions for 173 receiving yards and another score as a receiver.
