It was a good day for ex-Yankees on Sunday as the Twins rallied in the ninth inning for a 7-2 victory in New York. They left the Bronx with two wins in the three-game weekend series.

The Twins nearly wasted a masterful performance by righthander Phil Hughes, who went eight innings in his first visit to Yankee Stadium since signing with the Twins during the offseason. Hughes held the Yankees to two runs over eight innings, but the Twins trailed 2-1 heading into the ninth against closer David Robertson.

Josh Willingham hit the first pitch of the inning well into the seats in left to tie the game.
