"Watching the pundits on TNT and ESPN disregard the Magic's title chances has helped Orlando PG Rafer Alston get into a playoff mind-set.

Much like the beginning of the season, the Magic are again an afterthought when the talking heads handicap the title contenders.

"I've been watching, and every night they're overlooking us," he said. "They're saying that teams can't wait to play us. I take that personally."

From the day Alston arrived in Orlando back in February he has beamed about the opportunity to play for a title-contending team.

"Not only do we have a shot at a ring, but it might be my last shot," the 32-year-old Alston said. "You never know what happens during the summer months with free agency and stuff like that. ... When you get up to age 32 or 33 you realize your window is a lot smaller."

Turk, Lewis rest up for the playoffs

Wednesday night's regular-season finale saw Magic F Hedo Turkoglu miss his second straight game with a sprained left ankle and F Rashard Lewis sit out his third consecutive game with tendinitis in his right knee.

Turk did only some light shooting in Wednesday morning's shootaround and Lewis participated in about half of the walk-through. Mickael Pietrus and Tony Battie started in their place.

It's put a kink in the Magic's postseason preparation, but is a situation Coach Stan Van Gundy said they will fight through."
