Travis D’Arnaud will be allowed to remove his walking boot and is already in Florida, according to MetsBlog contributor Robert Brender, who spoke to d’Arnaud.

“I can take the boot off anytime. I get to start walking around without it on,” d’Arnaud said.

He will continue to wear the boot as a precautionary measure most of the time.

He is set to begin rehabbing in some capacity on Tuesday in Port St. Lucie.

“He’s been able to do some upper body stuff,” Assistant GM John Ricco said. “It’s gonna take time for us to know. We have to see where he is at. First things first.”
