Tracy McGrady can't pass up chance to spark offense

"After Tracy McGrady received his third start this season at point guard, the word that kept coming up about his performance was "unselfish."

McGrady, subbing for an ill Rodney Stuckey, led the Pistons with 21 points and eight assists in Wednesday night's 104-92 victory over Boston at the Palace and he seemed to get everyone but the ball boy involved on offense.

Five other players reached double digits, everyone seemed to touch the ball regularly and McGrady also coaxed strong performances out of substitutes Austin Daye and Chris Wilcox.

"He's a playmaker; he's not just a star player," said Daye, who scored 12 points. "He can pass, he can score. Him coming in off the bench definitely helped."

Coach John Kuester noted the energy his team had from the outset."
