Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer is in talks over a £15 million move to West Bromwich Albion.

Tony Pulis, the West Brom head coach, has moved for Wimmer this week and is hopeful of signing the Austrian international in the next few days.

Wimmer has been made available by Spurs and looks set for a move to the Hawthorns after Pulis abandoned his bid for Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson.

Negotiations between the two clubs are now at an advanced stage and Albion could even have the 24-year-old available by early next week if talks continue to run smoothly.
