Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Everton might have to face disappointment this week. Reports in talkSPORT reveal that their target Fiorentina’s Adem Ljajic is holding discussions with his club over possibilities of a contract extension.

It has been reported that Ljajic’s agent Fali Ramadani is going to meet with officials of the club to negotiate the extension of his client’s deal. However a stumbling block can be the player’s demands of a wage rise and his expectations of a lower £8m release clause against his club’s stipulated value of £12m.

Meanwhile the 21 year old who has also been drawing the attention of domestic rivals AC Milan for some time netted 12 goals for his side in a total of 31 appearances last season providing 8 assists. He was also touted to join English Champions Manchester United in 2009 from Partizan but instead opted for a move to Fiorentina with the Red Devils’ interest cooling off.
