In the “what if” and “no one knows for sure” world of the Raptors these days, there are things that still must be handled.
With none of Dwane Casey’s assistant coaches guaranteed employment beyond June 1, the organization has decided to at least probe the possibility of replacements, even if nothing is for sure.
The Raptors already have permission to — eventually — talk to Boston assistant, and former NBAer, Tyronn Lue about any openings. No formal interview is scheduled and no members of Casey’s staff have been dismissed. It’s a case of lining up potential scenarios.
According to one NBA source, the Raptors are “doing some fact-finding” as they go about the routine business of evaluating every facet of the organization before the NBA summer officially begins.
