Tony Romo: Earlier in the year, I was trying to 'help out' teammates' mistakes, 'instead of just doing my job'

"Since blowing a 24-point second-half lead to the Detroit Lions on October 2, Tony Romo says he has changed the way he has played quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.

Following the Cowboys' 31-15 victory in Tampa Bay Saturday night, Romo admitted he was trying to do too much early in the season in losses to the Jets and Lions, something he says has changed over the previous 10 games.

"I was playing, trying to help out, sometimes, other's mistakes, instead of just doing my job," Romo said on the NFL Network's post game show. "What I found is, when I just do my job, usually it's pretty solid and good things happen. So, I've taken that approach since the Detroit game and it's been a good run.""
