The Patriots have bolstered their defensive line with a veteran presence.

New England agreed to a two-year deal with former Raiders defensive tackle Tommy Kelly, according to Ian Rapoport of Kelly was released by the Raiders on March 27.

The 32-year-old defensive lineman was signed by the Raiders in 2004 as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State. Kelly recorded 34 sacks during his nine-year career with Oakland. He’s just one year removed from a 7 1/2-sack season in 2011. Kelly was named a Pro Bowl alternate in 2010 when he registered seven sacks.
