"Patriots quarterback Tom Brady may have thrown a scare into fans yesterday. He was absent from practice after landing hard on his left shoulder during a scramble in the Christmas Eve win over the Dolphins.

Only several hours later did the team announce that Brady's absence from practice was not injury related. Likely, he was receiving an additional day of rest.

In his weekly press availability, Brady chose to focus on what he will target on Sunday — getting payback against the Bills for their early-season upset."
