"The Chicago Blackhawks will be without the services of their captain for at least one game as Jonathan Toews will not play Tuesday night against the Nashville Predators with a suspected left arm injury.

Toews left during the second period of the Hawks' 5-2 loss to the Predators on Saturday night and did not practice with teammates Monday. Toews was slashed across the left wrist by the Florida Panthers' Erik Gudbranson during Friday night's game but did finish that contest.

"Toews is going to be out for (Tuesday's) game," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said following Monday's practice. "It's not serious but he's out.""
