For those in management, baseball is a business. But for the players involved in the game it is so much more. Mets infielder Wilmer Flores put that on display Wednesday night after he was allegedly traded from the Mets to Milwaukee.

The trade, sending Flores and Zack Wheeler to the Brewers in exchange for Carlos Gomez, supposedly went down while the Mets were playing the Padres.

It was later revealed that the Mets backed out of the deal due to concerns over Carlos Gomez' hip issue. Mets management blamed social media for running with a story before it was a confirmed deal.
