For LeBron James to play for the Cavaliers again when his contract allows for a departure from Miami in 2014, owner Dan Gilbert will have to get over a few personal obstacles.
Gilbert has yet to call James by name. So at some point he'll have to stop referring to him as "the player who left." If not, the introductory press conference could be a little awkward.
Best-case scenario: "Ladies and gentleman, a player who needs no introduction, which is good because he won't get one from me."
Probably not the best way to start over again. Gilbert should skip that option. The alternatives, though, aren't much better.
How about this to make it go down easier for Gilbert? Start thinking of James as "the player we need so Kyrie Irving doesn't leave."
To keep Kyrie Irving, Dan Gilbert may need to broaden his vocabulary
