"Running back Chris Johnson campaigned for the Titans to add receiver Randy Moss because he thought it would give him more space at the line of scrimmage.

At least for a day, it looked like Johnson might be right.

He rushed for 117 yards on 17 carries in Sunday's 29-17 loss to the Dolphins, including a 17-yard touchdown run and a 30-yard run. His 6.9-yard per carry average was his best of the season, matching the total he had in Tennessee's win at Dallas on Oct. 10.

"When you have guys like Randy Moss out there who can make plays in the passing game, it's a thing where they are going to have to change up their defense,'' Johnson said. "Once they do that, you get a little more space and more gaps open up for the running game.''

On Johnson's 7-yard run in the first quarter, he became the fourth player in franchise history to reach 4,000 rushing yards, joining Eddie George, Earl Campbell and Lorenzo White. Johnson is the seventh player in NFL history to accomplish the feat in his 40th career game."
