"Craig Stevens still drives the same vehicle he had in college — a white, 2003 Ford Ranger.

It's a little more beat-up now, with dents and more than 83,000 miles on the odometer.

Rewarded with a new four-year, $15 million contract from the Titans on Friday, the veteran tight end can certainly afford to upgrade his wheels. But it doesn't sound like he will.

"Yeah, I've had some issues with it," Stevens said. "It's been squeaking real loud lately. Everybody gives me a hard time about it. … But I'm not getting rid of it. I'll probably drive it to 100,000 miles. I just like driving the thing. I'm comfortable in it. I've always had it."

The Titans are clearly comfortable with Stevens, who could have become a free agent in March.

He is highly regarded for his work as a blocker in the run game, and his coaches have raved about his commitment and work ethic behind the scenes.

He caught nine passes for 166 yards in 2011. In 58 games overall, including 29 starts, he has 21 receptions for 297 yards and three touchdowns."
