The Titans met with the agent for Chris Johnson here at the NFL Combine this weekend, but the veteran running back’s status remains unchanged.

Johnson is scheduled to make $8 million in 2014 and he’s said on numerous occasions he has no plans to take a pay cut. The Titans are contemplating whether Johnson is worth keeping at that price.

Earlier this week, general manager Ruston Webster said there was no rush to make a decision about Johnson’s status.

The six-year pro is under contract through 2016, but is coming off a season in which he rushed for 1,077 yards while earning $10 million. He’s currently rehabbing from offseason arthroscopic knee surgery.

The Titans have also remained in touch with the agent for cornerback Alterraun Verner about a new contract, but nothing is imminent.

Verner can become a free agent on March 11.
