"Rex Ryan always sends out multiple captains for games, usually players representing offense, defense and special teams. Last night, he sent out just one captain: linebacker Jason Taylor, who played 12 years with the Dolphins.
Taylor responded quickly with a sack of Miami quarterback Chad Henne for an eight-yard loss in the first quarter. After the takedown, he posed in celebration in the Dolphins' backfield and was lustily booed by the home crowd.
"I expected to get booed," Taylor said. "I'm on the visiting team now. At the end of the day, this is my permanent home, but New York is my residence right now.""
