After five full days off, Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen returned to the ice on Wednesday at Skate Zone to test his ailing left foot.

“Felt pretty good,” he said with a smile. “First full practice in six days. We’ll see how it feels tonight and tomorrow and go from there.”

The Flyers host Colorado on Thursday, then face Calgary on Saturday afternoon before the Olympic break begins.

Timonen played in last Thursday’s loss at Anaheim, then missed the remainder of the West Coast road trip and practices with pain in the foot.

He skated Wednesday with Hal Gill but did not take a regular shift with the starters.

Timonen reiterated he needs to play these two remaining games before the Olympic break to get an idea of whether it’s worth going to the Sochi Olympics to play for Finland.
