For months, the Timberwolves have wanted to bolster their point guard depth with the addition of one more veteran.

They got it done on the eve of training camp, agreeing to a deal with Aaron Brooks, a source confirmed Thursday night.

Brooks, 32, averaged five points and 1.9 assists in 13.8 minutes per game last season for Indiana. A 37-percent three-point shooter for his career, Brooks adds outside shooting help and provides competition for Tyus Jones in the battle for the backup point guard position.
