As we continue to scour the world for the latest rumors and rumblings, we came across this little nugget that may pique the interest of Tigers fans.

According to Foxsports.com's Jon Paul Morosi, both the Tigers and L.A. Angels had scouts in St. Petersburg, Fla., to watch the Tampa Bay-Seattle game, specifically the start made by right-hander James Shields.

While the 30-year-old isn't having the season he had in 2011, which got him on the All-Star team -- 8-6 with a 4.39 ERA -- he is an innings-eater (over 200 each of the last five years) and had playoff and World Series experience.

Morosi also mentioned during Fox Sports Detroit's pregame show from Friday's Tigers game that the White Sox are looking for bullpen help and the Indians are in the market for a starting pitcher.
