"Victor Martinez (right groin) was activated from the disabled list and hit fifth behind Miguel Cabrera in Wednesday's 4-0 victory over the Yankees.

He went 1-for-3 with a single and a run scored.

"I'm certainly happy to get Victor back," manager Jim Leyland said. "I felt good about writing that lineup down today."

Leyland moved Magglio Ordonez from third to sixth and Brennan Boesch to No. 3 ahead of Cabrera."
