Too bad there isn't such a thing as the 10-day disabled list for groin strains - because as of Tuesday, Victor Martinez was able to say, "I'm feeling great."

Martinez has been on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right groin since April 19.

"This is the first day I can say I'm feeling great," he said, "because this is the first time I went outside, did some stuff, and didn't feel any soreness. That's what you want to hear, that's what I want to feel."

Martinez went through some pregame agility drills on the field. He also threw and hit.

Everything all right?

"Pretty much," he replied. "I don't feel anything."

Manager Jim Leyland was happy to hear that, of course.
