"As the weather begins to cool in Detroit, Andrew Oliver is looking to heat up in Arizona.

But so far, his Arizona Fall League season has been anything but sunny. Oliver, a Tigers left-hander who figures to compete for a rotation spot next spring, has a 5.84 ERA in six starts with the Salt River Rafters. He has allowed earned runs in four of six starts, opponents are hitting .286 against him, and he has more walks than strikeouts.

But Oliver has limited left-handers to a batting average of .091 and had his longest outing of the fall Friday, allowing two runs and two hits in three innings."
