"Adrian Beltre came through his first exhibition game with the Rangers healthy, and that was all Texas manager Ron Washington cared about.
Beltre, who had been sidelined by a strained calf, went 1 for 3 in five innings Monday and showed no ill effects of the leg injury in the 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
"I felt a little bit rusty," Beltre said. "I felt just a little bit off, but I'm not surprised."
Beltre flew out to left in his first at-bat, then grounded out to shortstop. He sprinted hard down the first-base line and wasn't limping at all. He singled to center in his third at-bat before being lifted for a pinch runner."
