On Friday night, Kevin Sumlin tweeted out another ‘YESSIR!’ as the Aggies pried away three-star Buda Hays offensive tackle Connor Lanfear from the Longhorns. Lanfear originally committed to Texas last June, but he made the switch during an unofficial visit to College Station.

“When I got down to A&M today, it just felt right and I felt at home,” Lanfear told Rivals.com. “Everything from the town, to the way the people treat me, to how great the coaches won me over easily.

“I sat down in his office and told Coach (Kevin) Sumlin I wanted to commit and got pretty excited. He told me that I fit the mold of what they’re trying to do and I fit the mold of Texas A&M because of my rodeo background.”

The 6-foot-6, 285-pounder is ranked as the No. 32 offensive tackle in the nation and No. 42 overall player in the state. He also held offers from Baylor, Florida State, Miami and Oklahoma.
