"The Texans have been placed in a tie for the eighth best odds to win Super Bowl 2013, according to MGM Grand's sports book in Las Vegas.

The Texans are placed as 12-1 odds, well behind early favorite New England at 5-1.

The Patriots lost 21-17 to the Giants on Sunday in the Super Bowl.

The Packers (11-2), Steelers (6-1), Eagles (6-1) and Giants (8-1) round out the top five.

New Orleans (10-1) and San Francisco (10-1) also have better odds than the Texans. San Diego is also a 12-1 shot. The Cowboys are 20-1 odds to win the Super Bowl."
