"Quarterback Matt Schaub is going to Charlotte, N.C. to have the injury to the Lisfranc ligament in his right foot examined by another specialist to see if he can avoid surgery and return this season.
If Schaub has to undergo season-ending surgery to repair the damage, he will be placed on injured reserve. The injury isn't career threatening, and he should be ready for the 2012 training camp.
Matt Leinart has replaced Schaub as the starter. When the Texans play at Jacksonville on Sunday, Leinart will be starting for the first time since 2009 when he still played for Arizona. Rookie T.J. Yates will be the backup against the Jaguars."
