"The two-man tryout the Texans conducted last week between Jake Delhomme and Jeff Garcia must have been incredible. It was undeniably fruitful.
Immediately afterwards, Delhomme was signed. And now, following the Tuesday release of Kellen Clemens, the Texans have added Garcia, who will turn 42 in February.
Garcia, an 11-year veteran who last played in 2009, will be the Texans' No. 3 quarterback. Through stints (in order) in San Francisco, where he began his NFL career, Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and then back to the Eagles, Garcia has thrown for 25,537 yards, 161 touchdowns and 83 interceptions."
