Texans promote LB Alexander from practice squad

"To replace injured linebacker Darryl Sharpton, the Texans have promoted Mister Alexander from the practice squad.

Replacing Alexander on the practice squad is Derrell Smith, one of four free agent linebackers to work out for the Texans on Tuesday. The others were Josh Bynes, David Nixon and Mike Rivera."
