"Tennessee Titans Coach Mike Munchak remembered hearing the same question many times in August.
"People were like, 'Why did you bring Matt Hasselbeck in here?' " Munchak said Monday.
Through two games, Munchak believes the veteran quarterback has provided the answer.
Hasselbeck was 30-of-42 passing for 358 yards and a TD in a 26-13 win over the Ravens. He has thrown for 621 yards overall — the most by a Titan/Oiler through the first two weeks since Warren Moon's 691 in 1992.
The Titans didn't sign the former Seahawk until July 29, and because of lockout-related rules he didn't practice until Aug. 4.
"He does a great job," Munchak said. "And if anyone could get caught up on what we were doing in a short period of time, it would be a guy like him. I am sure he feels there are a lot more things he can do. He'll get more comfortable every week.""
