"Matt Hasselbeck will take it easy the next few days with his injured throwing arm.

By the end of the week, however, the Titans believe their veteran quarterback will be back on the field practicing. Barring complications, they expect he will start Sunday's game against the Buccaneers at LP Field.

"I think Matt is smart enough to know if he is comfortable in playing," Coach Mike Munchak said Monday. "You know if you can help the team win, and if he feels there is anything in question, I think he'll be smart enough to tell us."

Hasselbeck had to leave the loss to the Falcons in the third quarter. His right arm was wrapped in ice, and the team called the injury a sprained elbow."
