"Johnson & Johnson. Based strictly on their last names, the Titans would seem to have a perfect pairing with running back Chris Johnson and fullback Quinn Johnson.

Yet the circumstances that united them more closely resemble a blind date than a dream date. The Titans can only hope the two backs have some chemistry when the regular season begins on Sunday in Jacksonville.

"There will be an adjustment, that's for sure," said Heath Evans, an NFL fullback for 10 seasons before retiring in August. "Chris Johnson, all he's known is Ahmard Hall, so it's going to take some getting use to a new guy.

"But the good thing about Quinn is this guy can pave some roads. He's going to get guys out of the hole, and he is nasty. He is a fullback most tailbacks would love to have in front of him. The problem is Chris Johnson just doesn't know him yet."

Chris Johnson and Quinn Johnson practiced together for the first time on Monday, two days after the Titans traded an undisclosed draft pick for the former Packers fullback.

The Titans were forced to make the deal after Hall, their fullback for the past five seasons, was suspended for the first four games for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.

What it means for Chris Johnson is he's running behind a different fullback for the first time in his NFL career.

Hall had played in all 48 games since Johnson was drafted in 2008 — Johnson played in 47 of those — and helped lead the way for his NFL-best 4,598 rushing yards over that time."
