"Three games don't make a season, but it has provided the Titans defense a chance to climb atop the NFL rankings.

Coordinator Jerry Gray's unit is now first in total defense (261 yards allowed per game) and second in points allowed (43). The Titans have allowed a total of six points in the second half.

"He has a great approach to the game," Coach Mike Munchak said Monday. "He has kept it simple. They have learned one concept at a time. … Guys are making plays, the defensive line is coming together very well."
