"Five years ago, when the Titans went searching for a new general manager to replace Floyd Reese, the team interviewed five potential candidates.

One of them was Mike Reinfeldt, who was eventually hired. Another was Ruston Webster.

On Wednesday, the team shuffled its front office to promote Reinfeldt, who will now serve as the team's senior executive vice president/chief operating officer. And on the same day, Webster was promoted to fill that general manager's seat he wanted back in 2007.

The moves kept the front office intact and laid the groundwork for some new decision-making. Reinfeldt, who will now oversee all aspects of the organization — football and non-football — endorsed the decision by owner Bud Adams and praised Webster."
