Team Canada embraces Getzlaf

"Canada steps into the men's Olympic hockey tournament tonight with all ankles present and intact, thanks to Ryan Getzlaf.

Proclaiming himself "the happiest guy here," the Ducks' Getzlaf reported no problems from his game at Edmonton on Sunday night, the one in which he put up two goals and two assists. Getzlaf practiced with Team Canada on Monday and reported no problems.

"It's just the biggest relief in the world to get back out there on the ice," Getzlaf said. "It's one of the scariest things I've been through, and also one of the hardest things.

"The nature of the injury scared everybody. It was a so-called high ankle sprain, and I was scared that things weren't healed. I was fortunate enough that I had a rare occurrence of it that was able to heal properly.""
