Tayshaun Prince and Jonas Jerebko agreed to four-year deals with the Pistons. Prince's contract is for $27 million and Jerebko signed for $18 million.

Prince was an unrestricted free agent and many thought he would seriously consider signing with a contender, but his presence in the practice facility seemed to forecast his return.

After last season's finale in Philadelphia, Prince and Richard Hamilton exchanged signed jerseys and it appeared to be an end of an era. After the Los Angeles Clippers made a bid for Prince and he apparently balked, his return was all but sealed.

Coach Lawrence Frank has expressed a desire not only for Prince to remain a Piston but also to have personnel who can defend (Jerebko). Both of his wishes were granted."
