"Tayshaun Prince and Pistons coach John Kuester both said they had buried the hatchet after Monday's argument at Golden State, when the Pistons were losing by 30 points.

Prince said during Wednesday's shootaround that he appreciated how Kuester handled the situation after they barked at each other.

Kuester said that's the kind of fire that he needs out of the veterans if the team's fortunes are to change.

Prince likened his outburst to talking to an official in the wrong way.

"Sometimes it might warrant you a technical foul, sometimes it might not," Prince said. "Mine was probably a technical foul. Us being down 30 in the second quarter, I was disappointed. The way he handled the situation after the game was great.

"Obviously, it was one of those situations you don't want to happen on the court, but it was one of those heat-of-the-moment type things where nothing was going our way."

The bickering this season seems to have resulted from frustration with the coach's defensive philosophy. A positive sign is that at least the players are trying to concentrate on defense."
