"This is a new role for Tayshaun Prince. He is no longer the role player who mostly gets his shots and points when Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace are off.

Billups and Wallace are gone. Hamilton remains, but his offense has come and gone. Now Prince is a go-to guy, and he has embraced the role.

He led the Pistons in scoring in four of the last five games and has averaged 19.8 points and shot 59 percent from the field. He is recording career-highs in field goal percentage (.500) and 3-point shooting (.533).

"I have had a hot hand of late," Prince said. "But it is a situation where everybody has not been on the same page. We got to get everybody scoring proportionately, and until we do that that is when we will start winning."

The Pistons carry a four-game losing streak into Sunday's 6 p.m. game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at The Palace. The Pistons will look to Prince for the hot hand again."
