As it turns out, Lamar Odom's problems stretched beyond the basketball court.

He was a slacker off of it, too, at least when it came to timeliness for team functions, a source confirmed.

He had a tendency to be late for team functions, including arriving just minutes before 6 p.m. on Friday night before the Mavericks played Portland, which would be his last home game at American Airlines Center. Numerous reporters saw Odom coming in from the loading dock.

Odom also had a confrontation with owner Mark Cuban at halftime of the Saturday game in Memphis, when Cuban wanted to know - as he'd asked several times earlier this season - if Odom was in or if he was out as a committed member of the team. Odom had played four awful minutes in the first quarter and did not return to the game, although he did sit on the bench in the second half, arriving there at the start of the third quarter, adding fodder to the argument that he was habitually late.
