The Phoenix Suns have signed point guard Josh Gray to a second 10-day contract, according to the team. The Suns originally signed Gray to a 10-day deal back on February 2, but they were obviously impressed with his performance and decided to extend his stay.

Of course, the Suns’ decision to give Gray another 10-day contract also has a lot to do with their dire point guard situation, which they attempted to shore up by trading for Elfrid Payton at the trade deadline.

In four games with Phoenix, Gray is averaging 6.8 points, three assists, 2.5 rebounds and two steals over 17.5 minutes per game while shooting 30 percent from the floor, 30 percent from three-point range and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line. His best performance came in a loss to the San Antonio Spurs last week, when he registered nine points, seven assists, four rebounds and four steals across 31 minutes.
