The Moroccan international is currently on loan from title-contenders Liverpool and has impressed Hughes since making the switch to the Britannia, netting four times in 24 appearances.

Even if Brendan Rodgers decides to let the winger leave Anfield this summer, there are sure to be a number of teams keen to speak with him.

However Hughes is confident he'll be at the head of the line to talk with Assaidi and see where his future lies.

He said: "Ozzy isn't our player - but he has done really well and we will talk about his future.

"We have been good for him and he's been good for us but I don't know where his future lies because we haven't had those conversations yet."
